Job Description
We are seeking for a Software Design Engineer who will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and performance of Surface devices through hands on testing debugging and analysis. This position provides an exciting opportunity to work with cuttingedge RF technologies and collaborate across teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop implement and document testing activities including test planning test execution and defect tracking.
- Execute test plans scenarios scripts and procedures.
- Test system modifications to ensure readiness for implementation.
- Analyze and document software defects using a bug tracking system.
- Identify analyze and resolve issues with program functionality output or content.
- Monitor bug resolution efforts and document successes.
- Create and maintain databases of known defects.
- Plan test schedules and strategies to align with project scopes and deadlines.
Qualification:
- 3 5 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with Microsoft tools (Azure DevOps HLK).
- Understanding of WiFi at the application or network level.
- Knowledge of RF debugging tools such as:
- Wireless sniffers (e.g. Wireshark Wildpackets Omnipeek).
- Kernel debugging and/or trace analysis for network issues (e.g. Network Monitor Message Analyzer xPerf ETW .etl).
Must have Skills:
- WiFi Testing or Development: Minimum 1 years.
- Bluetooth Protocols: Minimum 1 years.
- Quality Processes: Minimum 1 years including writing bug reports issue analysis and solution validation.
