**$500 sign on bonus ($250 at the completion of first week of training and $250 after successful completion of first 90 days) ** 

Position: Education and Employment Specialist 3 Part Time

Location: Peabody MA

Rate of Pay: $21.38 per hour; plus a $20 additional biweekly stipend for fluency in Spanish

Schedule : 2025 Hours per week; MondayFriday between 8:30am4:30pm with flexible Hybrid Options

 Summary: 

• Join our innovative and passionate team to inspire students.  Use innovative technology such as virtual reality and other platforms as tools to facilitate and engage students. Teach small groups in schools and community settings helping an array of neurodiverse students ages 1422 gain preemployment transitional skills to better prepare them for the job world or postsecondary education. Main responsibilities of this position entail teaching and engaging students with selfadvocacy job exploration workplace readiness skills workbased learning experiences (internships) and postsecondary education. You will work with school personnel higher education programs and community employers building strong partnerships to support these students with their pursuits. Learn how Virtual reality is being used to make learning fun and engaging in a safe and controlled environment. This position is ideal for a paraprofessional!

Qualifications:

• High School/GED or HiSET plus 12 years related experience OR Associates degree plus 1 year related experience and/or training. 
• One year of human service experience desired. 
• Knowledge of and respect for diverse populations.

 Requirements: 

• Experience working with high school students preferred.
• Experience as a camp counselor and conducting education AI groups
• Interest in working with high school students with disabilities in navigating life skills to better help themselves as they move through the stages of high school
• Ability to read write and speak Spanish fluently preferred but not required
• Ability to use computers to include Microsoft Word data entry email and internet essential. 
• Must have a valid drivers license 3 years driving experience good driving record use of vehicle and willingness to transport participants in personal vehicle. 
• Must be able to travel within the region to access residential settings employers offices and community organizations.
