Job Description
Team you will be working with: Receive Risk
The Receive Risk team is a global product team working to help customers receive money safely and fast into their account. We do this by building intelligence and controls to identify fraudsters and scammers trying to use Wise to commit fraud or that are trying to defraud Wise customers. We are proud to support the whole suit of Receive products (local and global account details payment links invoice) and work with our financial crime teams to ensure that customers can use these products with as minimum friction as possible while we prevent bad actors from abusing these products.

What does it take
A strong product mindset and passion for user experience you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make datadriven decisions to fix customer painpoints
Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to nontechnical audiences
Ability to work independently while also being a good team player. Your work will frequently involve crossteam collaboration.
Ability to break down complex projects into incremental milestones that deliver customer value
Ability to coordinate complex projects across different teams
Experience in developing web applications and distributed systems in a production environment
Experience with common design and architectural patterns coupled with a passion for writing clean code that is performant and well tested
Curiosity and drive for continuous learning and improvement
Following and advocating best coding practices continuous delivery and code reviews
Experience working with relational and nonrelational databases query optimisation and designing schemas is a plus
Knowledge of Java and Spring boot and experience with a messaging system like Kafka is a plus but dont worry we dont expect you to know everything!
