Job Description
Your responsibilities include:
- To lead and coordinate the engineering team
- To ensure that the engineering work is performed at the highest standards in accordance with the companys Quality Assurance and HSE procedures
- To ensure that all Geophysical Engineering equipment is tested calibrated sufficient spares stocked manuals are available
- To ensure that the Geophysical data is acquired in compliance with good survey practice and logs are completed in accordance with company policy
- Under the direction of the Crewing Manager or Party Chief develop and operate appropriate engineering and administrative processes in order to effectively support the work of the Geophysical Department
- To be proficient in the use maintenance deployment and mobilisation of all Gardline Geophysical equipment
- Monitor and quality control data records in an accurate and timely manner
- Attend all toolbox meetings unless otherwise directed
Your qualities
You can make your mark as an geophysical engineer in charge if you have:
- Experience in relevant engineering disciplines would be considered. e.g. Electronic Hydraulic Mechanical Electrical Data communications IT infrastructure
- Broad knowledge of Geophysical and Seismic operations
- Proven track record to be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Develop constructive and open relationships with a wide range of people
- Team spirit and a cando attitude
- Ability to problem solve using initiative and creativity
- Dedicated work ethic
- Fluent in spoken and written English including technical
- High level IT skills e.g. Microsoft Office
- Ability to pass ENG1 and STCW95 (or recognised equivalent)
- Ability to coach and mentor others
Qualifications :
- Qualifications in an engineering electronics or mechanical field (HM Forces qualifications also recognised).
- Level 3 or higher qualifications in technical subjects (e.g. Maths Electronics Physics)
