Join us as Modelling Statistics Intern at our international headquarters in Utrecht starting in March 2025. In this internship you will support the End to End Consumer Customer Insights team and use statistical methods to unleash possibilities in the coffee and tea business (e.g. predictive modelling multivariate analysis) and join automation initiatives to optimize the process from data collection to analysis reporting.
Your key activities will be:
Main activity: Work on a personal research project to impact the world of coffee and tea. The topic will be confirmed within the first month of placement based on current R&D challenges and your personal development options.
Extra activities: (Depending on workload and your career development options)
Support in designing experiments for various teams including but not limited to product development packaging and technology solutions.
Engage in statistical challenges brought by many researchers in R&D to the Modelling and Statistics team.
Create impactful data visualization to support the hypothesis in the R&D projects.
Work with multiple data sources and combine them to perform modelling and data analysis and also detect opportunities of automation

Heres what were looking for:
Skillset: You possess strong MS Office skills and fluent proficiency in speaking and written English Having some similar handson experience with food research activities is always a benefit.
Personal traits: You have a structured approach a driven and energetic personality excellent communication and people skills and the ability to work both in a team and independently.
Commitment: You are ready to dedicate at least 5 months to this internship preferably from 3rd of March to the end of August 2025.
Availability: You can join the internship for 5 days per week including three days inoffice and one or two days remotely ensuring an ideal balance between collaboration and independence.

Your internship should be included in your study curriculum and directly contribute to your academic results.
Your educational institution is willing to sign a collaboration agreement with JDE Peets and when joining our Research departments also sign an NDA agreement for internships.
You are either an EU(EEA) student residing in the Netherlands during the internship or a NonEU(EEA) student enrolled and living in the Netherlands during the internship.
