As the global head of the Food Segment in Business Assurance you will be responsible for defining strategy driving growth and ensuring operational excellence in our food certification/services solutions business ensuring SGS maintains and strengthens its position as global market leaders. The role includes oversight of our Pharma Cosmetics and personal care business which is a small but strategic segment. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team foster relationships with key stakeholders and uphold our reputation for integrity and quality within the TIC industry.
Specific Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy primarily for the food assurance segment aligned with the organizations overall goals.
- Identify and capitalize on market trends emerging risks and opportunities within the food sector including new service lines.
- Collaborate with global and regional leadership to ensure consistency in service delivery and innovation.
- Oversee all operational aspects of food certification services ensuring compliance with industry standards accreditation requirements and internal quality processes.
- Lead process optimization to enhance efficiency scalability and customer satisfaction.
- Act as a key representative to clients regulatory bodies and industry associations strengthening trust and fostering strategic partnerships.
- Build manage and inspire a highperforming team fostering a culture of accountability innovation and continuous learning.
- Drive the development of pricing strategies that reflect market conditions and maximize profitability.

- Reports to: Head of Business Assurance (ExCo).

Qualifications :
- Proven leadership experience in the food certification TIC or related industries.
- Familiarity with food safety quality and regulatory standards (e.g. ISO 22000 HACCP BRCGS FSSC 22000).
- Demonstrated success in driving business growth and leading crossfunctional teams.
- Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
Required Skills
- Advanced degree in Food Science Business Administration or a related field.
- Familiarity with emerging topics and technologies in food safety and traceability.
- Multilingual abilities and international experience are an advantage.
