Our Guest Arrival Experts take the initiative to deliver a wide range of services that guide guests through their arrival and departure experiences. They are empowered to move about their space and do what needs to be done. Whether processing operational needs, addressing guest requests, completing reports, or sharing the highlights of the local area, the Guest Arrival Expert makes transactions feel like part of the experience.
No matter what position you are in, there are a few things that are critical to success – creating a safe workplace, following company policies and procedures, maintaining confidentiality, protecting company assets, upholding quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional. Guest Arrival Experts will be on their feet and moving around
Guest Greeting and Welcome:
Greet guests warmly as they arrive at the hotel, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
Assist with the arrival process, including offering assistance with luggage, opening doors, and providing directions or information about the hotel’s amenities.
Luggage Assistance:
Help guests with their luggage upon arrival and departure, ensuring that bags are handled with care.
Safely store or deliver luggage to the guest’s room, assisting with any special requests such as carrying heavy items or oversized luggage.
Coordinate with the bell staff or bellhops when necessary for further luggage handling.
Traffic and Vehicle Management:
Direct guests to the appropriate valet or parking areas, if applicable.
Assist with parking instructions, ensuring vehicles are parked in the appropriate location.
Maintain order in the driveway, preventing congestion or disruption to the flow of traffic at the hotel’s entrance.
Provide assistance with unloading and loading vehicles, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Excellent Communication Skills: Able to interact with guests in a friendly, professional, and helpful manner.
Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, assist with luggage, and manage physical tasks.
Customer Service Orientation: A strong focus on providing excellent service and creating a positive guest experience.
Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve any issues or special requests that arise during the guest’s arrival or departure.
Professional Appearance: Maintain a well-groomed, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
Attention to Detail: Ensuring that the entrance area is tidy, orderly, and welcoming.
Teamwork: Ability to collaborate with other hotel staff, such as front desk, bellhops, and valet staff, to provide seamless service.

Positive feedback from guests regarding the quality of service upon arrival and departure.
Guests’ perceptions of the professionalism and helpfulness of the door attendant.
Efficiency and Timeliness:
Speed in greeting guests, assisting with luggage, and managing vehicles, contributing to an efficient check-in/check-out process.
Entrance Cleanliness and Orderliness:
A consistently clean and orderly entrance area that reflects well on the hotel’s image.
Safety and Security:
Maintaining a secure environment at the hotel’s entrance and monitoring for any potential security issues.
