Role Overview:
The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for building and maintaining the CI/CD pipelines automating workflows
and ensuring the stability and scalability of the infrastructure supporting the Teradata migration project.
This role requires expertise in DevOps tools cloud platforms and infrastructure as code (IaC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to support the migration of Teradata workloads to the target environment.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Monitor system performance troubleshoot issues and ensure high availability of the migration environment.
- Collaborate with development operations and architecture teams to implement DevOps best practices.
- Ensure seamless integration of upstream and downstream systems during and after the migration.
- Implement security measures including access controls and vulnerability scanning in the DevOps workflow.
- Document processes and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- 7 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Expertise in DevOps tools such as Jenkins Git Docker Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) and container orchestration.
- Experience with scripting and automation using Python Bash or similar languages.
- Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring tools like Prometheus Grafana or Splunk.
- Knowledge of data migration processes and integration workflows.
Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Certifications in cloud technologies or DevOps practices.
- Experience with Teradata or other enterprise database migrations.
- Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with ECS object storage and PowerFlex compute platforms.
