Overview
The Senior Admission Counsellor plays a crucial role in guiding prospective students through the admission process at our educational institution. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance to prospective students regarding admissions criteria processes and deadlines.
- Conduct oneonone counselling sessions to understand students needs and help tailor their applications.
- Organize and facilitate informational workshops webinars and recruitment events.
- Collaborate with academic departments to stay informed about program changes and updates.
- Review and assess applications providing recommendations based on institutional guidelines.
- Engage with prospective students through phone calls emails and inperson meetings.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions with potential candidates using CRM software.
- Work with marketing teams to create effective promotional materials and content.
- Represent the institution at college fairs high school visits and community events.
- Monitor trends in enrollment and provide feedback for strategic improvement.
- Train and mentor junior admission counsellors for improved team performance.
- Develop and implement initiatives to attract a diverse pool of applicants.
- Assist with the development of admissions policies and procedural documentation.
- Evaluate and improve the admission process providing insights based on data analysis.
- Actively network with educational consultants and other organizations to enhance outreach efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or PG.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in admissions or educational counselling.
- Proven success in meeting enrollment goals and managing a recruitment pipeline.
- Experience with CRM systems and data management for tracking applications.
- Strong understanding of higher education policies and accreditation standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presentations and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word Excel PowerPoint) and digital communication tools.
- Strong analytical skills to assess data and develop strategic recommendations.
- Ability to travel as needed for recruitment events and outreach activities.
