Job Description
- Prepare and review cost estimates for products and services.
- Analyze cost trends and variances while providing insightful reports to management.
- Collaborate with departments to analyze costrelated issues and develop solutions.
- Monitor and report on inventory costs and valuation.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Perform cost audits and recommend improvements in processes.
- Establish and maintain cost accounting procedures and practices.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory financial reporting standards.
- Develop and implement cost control strategies to enhance operational efficiency.
- Support crossfunctional teams in financial decisionmaking processes.
- Conduct periodic reviews of financial performance metrics.
- Advise on pricing strategies based on cost analytics.
- Participate in financial audits and prepare documentation as needed.
- Continuously explore opportunities for cost reductions through operational enhancements.
- Provide training and support to junior accounting staff as required.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cost accounting or related financial role.
- Professional certification (e.g. CPA CMA) preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to interpret complex financial information and prepare clear reports.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with financial regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and processes.
