The Oracle EPM Infra Administrator plays a pivotal role in the organization by managing and optimizing the systems and infrastructure that support Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) applications. This position is essential to ensure the reliability performance and security of the EPM environment. The administrator will be responsible for configuring and maintaining the infrastructure as well as implementing upgrades and patches to support business needs. This role is crucial in safeguarding the integrity of data and the performance of critical applications that drive financial planning budgeting and forecasting processes. Additionally the position involves collaboration with IT teams and business stakeholders to facilitate efficient system operations troubleshoot issues and provide user support. As organizations increasingly rely on EPM systems for strategic decisionmaking this role becomes increasingly important in enhancing operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation configuration patching and tuning of EPM 11.1.2.x & 11.2.x Oracle EPM suite
- Administer for Hyperion Essbase planning HFM EPMA reporting security system tuning DRM FDMEE and troubleshooting system issues.
- Provide EPM infrastructure and admin support for customers.
- Provide regular Oracle EPM patching strategy/updates to customer.
- Perform monthend closing data loads aggregations/consolidations calculations reconciliations.
- Provides technical and functional support. Also makes necessary changes in the data layer and creates/modifies the reports per user requirements.
- Excellent analytical problemsolving and debugging skills
- Develop and maintain hierarchies/outlines and their properties in DRM for planning Essbase ASO/BSO and HFM applications.
- Adapt and optimize all applications for changes to business structure and strategy.
- Validate and reconcile the system during implementations and upgrades.
- Weekend and offhours work sometimes required particularly around monthend closing
- Responsible for periodic upgrades to Hyperion applications to optimize functionality and compatibility
- Ensures data integrity and accuracy within various applications in EPM.
- Ensures the timely and accurate generation of all reporting ensuring consistency and standardization amongst the various types of reports and databases.
- Works with the data warehouse team to develop maintain and support metadata and data in all applications. Some SQL knowledge is required.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Essbase DRM FDMEE ODI HPCM Hyperion Planning HFM EPMA Hyperion Financial Report Studio SQL and SmartView
Experience and Education:
- The candidate must have a bachelors degree preferably in a businessrelated field and more than five years of related experience.
- Experience in Hyperion Essbase Administration Financial Consolidations Finance or Accounting is required.
Functional and Technical Skills:
- Handson experience in the installation configuration patching and tuning of the EPM product suite on 11.1.2.x & 11.2.x versions.
- Worked on EPM product upgrade implementations.
- Technical knowledge on all/most of the EPM product suite
- Ability to interface with users to quickly correct problems and develop solutions.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Experience in working with relational databases (Oracle & MS SQL)
