Overview
The Regulatory / Business Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring that the organization complies with relevant regulations and standards while also effectively analyzing and optimizing business processes. This position requires a dual focus on compliance and operational efficiency making it essential for the growth and sustainability of the business. The analyst must evaluate existing processes identify areas for improvement and ensure that any changes meet regulatory guidelines. They will also serve as a liaison between regulatory agencies and the internal team facilitating communication and ensuring that the organization adheres to all legal and industry standards. This role is vital to reducing risks improving service delivery and enhancing overall organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough research on regulatory requirements applicable to the business.
- Analyze current business processes for compliance with regulations.
- Identify gaps and develop action plans for regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with various departments to implement compliance measures.
- Create detailed reports and documentation for regulatory submissions.
- Prepare compliance training materials for staff.
- Monitor changes in regulations and advise the business on necessary adjustments.
- Maintain uptodate records of compliance activities and findings.
- Facilitate meetings with regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.
- Assess risks related to regulatory noncompliance and propose mitigation strategies.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to compliance.
- Participate in audits and assessments to ensure regulatory adherence.
- Support project management activities to implement business improvements.
- Engage in stakeholder communication regarding compliance issues.
- Provide insights on best practices for operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulatory or compliance analyst role.
- Strong understanding of relevant regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in crossfunctional teams.
- Experience in project management and process improvement initiatives.
- Detailoriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of industryspecific compliance requirements.
- Strong problemsolving skills and strategic thinking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel.
- Experience with regulatory audits and assessments.
- Certifications such as Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) are a plus.
- Ability to adapt to a fastpaced work environment.
