Overview
The Senior Accountant plays a crucial role in ensuring the organization s financial health stability and growth. This position is responsible for providing expert financial reporting ensuring compliance with tax laws and developing robust budgeting processes. As a key member of the finance team the Senior Accountant collaborates with various departments to align financial strategies with organizational goals. The incumbent will not only oversee the accounting team but also mentor and guide junior accountants helping them develop their skills. Additionally this role involves analyzing financial data to identify trends and provide insights that support decisionmaking. With a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly quarterly and annual financial statements.
- General Accounting
- Oversee journal entries account reconciliations and monthend closing activities.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable fixed assets and payroll processes.
- Budgeting and Forecasting
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Analyze variances and
- recommend corrective actions.
- Tax Compliance
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns and adherence to tax regulations. Liaise with auditors
- and tax consultants to resolve compliance issues.
- Internal Controls
- Develop implement and monitor accounting policies and internal control systems.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
- Team Leadership
- Mentor and guide Sales team. Coordinate with sales department to ensure alignment on
- financial goals.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- Having 45 years of experience in accounting or financial management
- Having knowledge in accounting software tally IMS
- Excellent problemsolving organizational and communication skills
- Experience with financial forecasting and budgeting.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on efficiency.
- Experience in a leadership or supervisory role is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity.
