Job Description

Overview

The Telecom Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business goals and technology solutions in the telecommunications industry. This position entails a thorough understanding of both the technical aspects and the business strategies that drive the telecom sector. The analyst will gather and analyze data identify trends and evaluate business processes to recommend effective solutions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of telecom operations. As telecom systems become increasingly complex the importance of this role grows providing organizations with the insights necessary for informed decisionmaking. Key responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to assess their needs developing project plans and ensuring that projects align with business objectives. The Telecom Business Analyst must be proficient in telecom technologies and business practices contributing to the agile development of solutions that meet market demand and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders.
  • Analyze existing telecom processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT and project teams to develop solutions.
  • Create detailed functional specifications for new systems.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
  • Prepare and present business cases for project approval.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with crossfunctional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with telecom regulations and industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain project documentation and reporting.
  • Train endusers and support staff on new systems.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as needed.
  • Provide data analysis to support business decisions.
  • Support change management initiatives related to new technology.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Telecommunications or related field.
  • 12 years of experience as a business analyst in the telecom industry.
  • Strong knowledge of telecom technologies products and services.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms.
  • Experience in business process modeling and improvement.
  • Strong problemsolving skills and analytical mindset.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements in the telecom sector.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as required for business needs.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with telecom billing and CRM systems.
  • Professional certifications (e.g. CBAP PMP) are a plus.
