Overview
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and design new products based on market research and user feedback.
- Create detailed specifications designs and technical drawings for products.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to ensure design feasibility and manufacturability.
- Conduct regular design reviews and iterate based on feedback.
- Utilize CAD software for 3D modeling and simulations.
- Participate in prototyping to test and validate designs.
- Ensure product designs comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Document design processes and maintain design records.
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues during production.
- Research and analyze market trends and competitor products.
- Identify and implement design improvements to enhance the user experience.
- Prepare presentations and reports for stakeholders.
- Assist in the budgeting and project management of design initiatives.
- Support marketing teams with product launch strategies.
- Mentor junior design engineers and interns.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Industrial Design or related field.
- Minimum 35 years of experience in product design engineering.
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Strong understanding of materials science and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with prototyping tools and techniques.
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with usercentered design methodologies.
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
- Project management experience is a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detailoriented approach with a focus on quality and precision.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Experience in agile design processes is desirable.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design projects and innovations.
