Our Guest Service Experts take the initiative and deliver a wide range of services to make sure that guests enjoy their meal. Whether setting tables, communicating with the kitchen, interacting and serving guests, or cleaning work areas and supplies, the Guest Service Expert makes transactions feel like part of the experience.
Customer Interaction:
Greet guests warmly, present menus, and offer recommendations based on customer preferences.
Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and potential dietary restrictions.
Order Management:
Accurately take food and drink orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
Ensure special requests or modifications are communicated clearly.
Service Delivery:
Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally.
Check back with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns.
Billing and Payments:
Prepare bills, process payments (cash, credit cards, or other methods), and return change or receipts.
Handle billing discrepancies with tact and professionalism.
Cleanliness and Organization:
Maintain cleanliness of tables, utensils, and dining areas.
Set tables before service and clear them after customers leave.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other waiters to ensure smooth service.
Assist team members during busy periods.
Problem Solving:
Address customer complaints or issues promptly, escalating to a supervisor if necessary.
Manage unexpected situations, such as incorrect orders or delays, with a calm and professional demeanor.
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: Less than 1 year related work experience.
Experience: Previous experience in a customer service role, especially in food service, is advantageous but not always required.
Key Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
Knowledge of menu items and beverage pairings.
Ability to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Basic math skills for handling payments.
Physical stamina to stand, walk, and carry items for extended periods.
Performance Metrics:
Customer satisfaction scores (e.g., from surveys or online reviews).
Accuracy of orders taken and delivered.
Speed of service and table turnover rate.
Number of repeat customers or positive feedback received.
Adherence to cleanliness and safety standards.
