Position Title: Learning Specialist Special Education Teacher

Middle school: 7:00a3:00p
High School: 8:30a4:00p
37.5 hours per week unpaid lunch (30 minutes)

Duration (Direct Placement Contract C2H): 2425 school year
Job Description/Role Responsibilities:
*Case management of 1215 students for all SPED Teacher openings
Will coordinate with social workers (classes broken down by individual grade level) on services provided
Students typically are in GenEd classrooms as well not in this class all day (similar to pull out) Will run lesson plans and curriculum
Will have 2 paras in that classroom
Teaching 6 of 8 periods 1 period for planning and 1 for collaboration
*89 Students served total across all grades in the middle school
Middle School 46 minute periods teacher will have 6 of 8 periods taught
- 1 period for Collab and 1 for planning
- classes are typically broken down by subject and some are cotaught
- Up to 10 students in sessions
- All students will do reading for success wilson reading program
- Will have 1 period dedicated to reading reading Skills for success in 1 period (similar to a study hall) individual students will pull out individual homework or classwork and receive individual support executive functioning skills
- High School: Take larger groups of students (15 students roughly would like to cut in half and break down into smaller groups) blend of teaching all subjects would like to have more specialized teaching but not at capacity to do that just yet
- *run block schedule one block is teaching and one is planning still teaching 6 of 8 periods
- 23 preps max

Teachers do not do their own testing Educational Diagnosticians handle the testing will provide input but is not on them to conduct testing
