The Evening Slot Ophthalmologist role at our facility located on Sarjapur Road Bangalore is a crucial position that offers specialized eye care services in a welcoming environment. Operating between 3 PM and 7 PM the ophthalmologist will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with a range of ocular disorders. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and assessments.
- Diagnose ocular diseases and disorders.
- Develop personalized treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
- Perform minor surgical procedures as required.
- Manage and treat common eye conditions such as glaucoma and cataracts.
- Provide preoperative and postoperative care for patients.
- Consult with patients regarding health concerns and answer their inquiries.
- Work collaboratively with optometrists and other healthcare professionals.
- Keep accurate medical records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Participate in continuing education and training programs.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in ophthalmology.
- Educate patients on eye care and preventive health measures.
- Supervise the work of junior staff and trainees.
- Attend departmental meetings to discuss patient care protocols.
- Ensure adherence to infection control practices and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
- Ophthalmology residency completion from an accredited program.
- Board certification in ophthalmology.
- Valid medical license to practice in Karnataka.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in ophthalmology.
- Strong knowledge of ocular anatomy physiology and pathology.
- Proficiency in performing ophthalmic surgeries and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy outpatient department.
