Overview
The Telecom Senior Technician plays a pivotal role in the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of telecommunications systems and equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Install maintain and repair telecommunications systems and equipment.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of networks.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in telecom systems.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure timely project delivery.
- Configure networking equipment including routers switches and firewalls.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all tasks.
- Train and mentor junior technicians in technical procedures and customer service.
- Document installation maintenance and repair activities accurately.
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support as needed.
- Perform system upgrades and installations based on industry best practices.
- Test and analyze telecommunications equipment for optimal performance.
- Maintain inventory of tools and equipment used in installation and repair.
- Participate in the evaluation and implementation of new technologies.

Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Telecommunications or related field; Bachelors preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in telecommunications or network systems.
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repairing telecommunications equipment.
- Strong understanding of fiber optic systems and installation techniques.
- Knowledge of IP networking principles and protocols.
- Professional certification in telecom or networking (e.g. CCNA CompTIA).
- Experience with digital and analog systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with telecommunications regulations and standards.
- Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and software.
- Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a teamoriented environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
