Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting dental cleanings and oral exams
- Assessing patients oral health and documenting findings
- Developing and implementing personalized dental hygiene care plans
- Performing preventive treatments such as fluoride application and sealant placement
- Educating patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and posttreatment care
- Assisting with Xrays and other diagnostic procedures
- Monitoring and charting patients periodontal status
- Providing support during dental procedures and surgeries
- Maintaining and sterilizing dental equipment
- Collaborating with dentists to coordinate patient care
- Managing appointment schedules and patient records
- Participating in continuing education to stay updated on best practices
- Ensuring compliance with infection control protocols
- Contributing to a positive and professional clinic environment
- Responding to patients inquiries and concerns
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Dental Hygiene or related field
- Licensure as a Dental Hygienist
- CPR certification
- Proven experience in dental hygiene practice
- Proficiency in performing dental cleanings and screenings
- Knowledge of periodontal disease and its treatments
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to educate patients on oral health and hygiene
- Attention to detail and good handeye coordination
- Familiarity with dental software and patient management systems
- Understanding of infection control standards and procedures
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Adherence to professional ethics and patient confidentiality
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities
