Overview
An Orthopedic Surgeon plays a critical role in diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal disorders and injuries for patients of all ages. Based in Deoghar Jharkhand this consultant position demands a high level of surgical expertise patient care and teamwork in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing surgeries developing treatment plans and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments.
- Diagnose orthopedic issues and develop targeted treatment plans.
- Perform surgical procedures including joint replacements and fracture repairs.
- Provide postoperative care and monitor recovery progress.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists and rehabilitation specialists for patient recovery.
- Educate patients and families on orthopedic conditions and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
- Participate in surgical team meetings to discuss cases and outcomes.
- Stay updated on advancements in orthopedic procedures and technology.
- Implement preventive care strategies for musculoskeletal health.
- Address patient concerns and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Supervise and mentor medical residents and junior staff.
- Manage patient scheduling and ensure optimal use of operating room time.
- Maintain compliance with medical regulations and hospital policies.
- Engage in community outreach and education regarding orthopedic health.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
- MS in Orthopedics or DNB in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Medical license to practice in Jharkhand.
- Minimum 5 years of surgical experience in Orthopedics.
- Proven expertise in performing orthopedic surgeries.
- Strong understanding of musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology.
- Excellent patient management and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Certification in advanced trauma life support (ATLS).
- Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
- Ability to handle emergency situations effectively.
- Fellowship training in a subspecialty is a plus.
