Job Description

Job Overview:

We are looking for BreakFix/Dispatch Engineers to join our IT support team based at Falcon Court TS18 3TS United Kingdom. As the emergency services of IT support you will be responsible for responding quickly to hardware and software issues at client sites. All candidates must be based in or around Falcon Court; applications from outside this location will not be considered. We are seeking immediate joiners who are ready to contribute to a dynamic and fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • BreakFix Support: Troubleshoot repair and replace hardware components such as desktops laptops printers servers and networking equipment.
  • Emergency IT Services: Respond swiftly to emergency dispatch calls to resolve both hardware and software issues ensuring minimal disruption to client operations.
  • Supportal System: Use our internal Supportal platform to manage tickets track issues and maintain clear communication with the client throughout the support process.
  • ClientFocused: Be fully trained and briefed on the specific IT infrastructure networks and processes of each client to provide efficient and personalized support.
  • OnSite Support: Deliver prompt professional IT support at client locations ensuring swift resolution of problems with minimal downtime.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with remote support teams and escalate complex issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular checks and maintenance of client systems to minimize future IT issues.

Requirements:

  • Location: Must be based in Falcon Court TS18 3TS United Kingdom or in close proximity. Applications from outside this area will not be considered.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in breakfix engineering or similar IT support roles.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in diagnosing troubleshooting and repairing hardware (desktops laptops printers servers) and software issues.
  • Solid understanding of operating systems (Windows Mac Linux) and networking concepts (TCP/IP DNS DHCP).
  • Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with IT service management platforms like Supportal or equivalent systems is a plus.
  • Customer Service: Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical solutions in simple terms.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines in an emergency environment.
  • Certifications: Relevant IT certifications (e.g. CompTIA A Network Microsoft certifications) are advantageous.
  • Availability: Must be able to join immediately.
