Job Description

Assistant Restaurant Manager

Overview:

The Assistant Restaurant Manager plays a crucial role in the restaurant industry. They support the Restaurant Manager in overseeing the daily operations maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service and ensuring a positive dining experience for patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daytoday operations
  • Supervise and train staff
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies
  • Participate in creating and implementing marketing strategies
  • Manage restaurant budgets and expenses
  • Oversee cleanliness and maintenance
  • Contribute to menu planning and pricing
  • Assist in staff scheduling
  • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations
  • Implement and enforce company policies
  • Collaborate with the management team
  • Drive revenue through upselling and promotions

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong understanding of restaurant operations
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Outstanding customer service abilities
  • Proficiency in POS systems and MS Office
  • Knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
  • Exceptional problemsolving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
  • Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays
  • Understanding of budgeting and cost control
  • Certification in food safety is preferred
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Hospitality or related field
  • Previous experience in menu planning and pricing strategies
  • Strong business acumen and decisionmaking capabilities
