Job Description
Overview
Key responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive eye examinations and diagnosing various ophthalmic conditions
- Performing phacoemulsification surgeries with precision and expertise
- Providing consultation to patients regarding their eye health and treatment options
- Managing and documenting patient records and treatment plans
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Staying updated with the latest advancements in ophthalmic surgery and treatment
- Participating in medical conferences and seminars to share knowledge and expertise
- Adhering to medical ethical standards and best practices
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and protocol development
- Providing guidance and supervision to junior medical staff and residents
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree in Ophthalmology
- Valid medical license to practice as an Ophthalmologist in India
- Board certification in Ophthalmology and subspecialization in Phacoemulsification
- Proven experience in conducting phacoemulsification surgeries independently
- Excellent clinical and surgical skills with a focus on patient safety and outcomes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and medical teams effectively
- Indepth knowledge of ophthalmic conditions treatment methods and surgical techniques
- Ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic healthcare environment
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Sound understanding of medical ethics and compliance with regulatory standards
