Job Description
Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluating and treating gynecological conditions such as endometriosis polycystic ovary syndrome and pelvic inflammatory disease
- Performing gynecological surgeries including hysterectomies myomectomies and ovarian cystectomies
- Providing antenatal care and overseeing childbirth
- Diagnosing and treating reproductive system cancers
- Conducting regular gynecological examinations and screenings
- Prescribing and managing hormone therapies and other medications
- Collaborating with other medical professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients
- Participating in and contributing to departmental meetings and continuing medical education
- Ensuring all medical records and documentation are accurately maintained
- Providing compassionate and empathetic care to patients
Required Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Completion of a residency in Gynecology and Obstetrics
- Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- State medical license to practice as a Gynaecologist Consultant
- Proven experience working as a Gynecologist Consultant preferably in a hospital setting
- Strong surgical skills and experience in performing gynecological surgeries
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
- Uptodate knowledge of current gynecological treatments procedures and medications
- Commitment to providing highquality patientcentered care
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Empathy and compassion towards patients
- Adherence to medical ethics and patient confidentiality
- Willingness to stay abreast of advancements in the field through continuous learning and professional development
- Ability to remain calm and focused in highpressure situations
