Overview:
The Senior Python Developer is a key member of our development team responsible for designing implementing and maintaining scalable Pythonbased applications. This role plays a crucial part in driving the technical direction of our products and ensuring their reliability and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Influence leadership / CTO organization and collaborate with other Principal Engineers across the organization to build the right software architecture for Nifty Gateway.
- Design implement deploy and maintain services supporting multiple engineering teams.
- Advocate and model technical and operational excellence.
- Drive large crossgroup technical initiatives.
- Set longterm technical strategy for services within and adjacent to primary domain.
- Review validate and provide feedback on technical design documents.
- Perform thorough code reviews to ensure quality and uplevel peers.
Required Qualifications:
- 810 years software development experience. We primarily use Python (Django framework with DRF for API).
- 5 years indepth experience with distributed systems or cloud computing. We primarily use AWS native technologies Docker.
- Significant experience with configuration management and infrastructure as code. We often use Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience building and owning lowlatency highavailability critical systems or cloudbased services.
- Experience defining managing and executing a portfolio of complex engineering projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Expertise in eventdriven architecture.
- Expertise in instrumentation observability and monitoring.
- Experience with container and orchestration technologies and relevant security considerations. We often use Kubernetes and EKS.
- Expertise in Relational and nonrelational databases.
- Experience in Celery Event Bridge SQS and SNS.
- Experience in Unity Framework Generative AI.
