Overview:
The Tooling Technician plays a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing process by ensuring that all tooling and fixtures are properly maintained and repaired. They are responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of tools jigs fixtures and gauges and ensuring their availability for production use.

Key Responsibilities:
- Inspecting disassembling and reassembling tooling and fixtures
- Performing preventive maintenance on tooling equipment
- Identifying and resolving issues with tooling and fixtures in a timely manner
- Assisting in the installation and removal of tooling equipment
- Collaborating with engineering and production teams to optimize tooling performance
- Operating various tools and machinery to fabricate or modify tooling components
- Documenting maintenance activities and reporting on tooling performance
- Conducting regular inventory checks of tooling components and supplies
- Following safety protocols and regulations while working with tools and equipment
- Training and mentoring junior technicians in tooling maintenance best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field
- 2 years of experience in tooling maintenance and repair in a manufacturing environment
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong understanding of tooling materials and fabrication techniques
- Ability to use precision measurement instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Knowledge of CNC machining and programming is preferred
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement concepts
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy objects
- Adherence to strict safety guidelines and protocols
