Job Description

Job Description:
This is an FT Direct Hire position. Our client is a wellestablished and highly regarded engineering company based in Austin. They are seeking a Mechanical Engineer PE / PM with HVAC and/or plumbing design experience to join their growing team. This position offers an outstanding opportunity in a dynamic company with excellent compensation benefits bonuses and a strong 401K and PTO program.

Responsibilities:

  • Design & Engineering: Calculate design and produce AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents for various building types including commercial offices K12 schools municipal buildings healthcare facilities and multifamily housing.
  • Project Management: Manage both small and large projects by establishing schedules allocating resources monitoring performance and ensuring timely and onbudget project completion.
  • Document Management: Maintain and organize all mechanical engineeringrelated documents and schedules and manage associated project documentation.
  • Field Support: Provide a review of mechanical design submittals and visit field locations to address issues conflicts and questions.
  • Reporting: Generate and present project status updates to internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Business Development: Build and nurture client relationships to secure repeat and new business opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or other Engineering discipline is required; a Master s degree is a plus.
  • Experience: At least 6 years of relevant experience in HVAC or plumbing design and project management particularly in commercial multifamily educational healthcare and institutional buildings.
  • Licensure: Current PE License required.
  • Software: Experience in AutoCAD and Revit is mandatory. Familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700 CHVAC7.0 and/or AIRMaster is a strong plus.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with various stakeholders from subcontractors to project owners. Must demonstrate strong organizational and project management skills.
