Job Description
The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for the management and support of IT services across Windows OSX and Linux environments for both internal operations and external clients. This role focuses on ensuring the optimal performance security and reliability of IT systems encompassing a wide range of services including IT management cybersecurity technical support and disaster recovery. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Windows systems with solid experience in OSX and Linux and will be able to provide comprehensive IT solutions to meet client needs.
Key Responsibilities:
IT Management
Oversee the management and upkeep of client devices networks and cybersecurity measures allowing clients to focus on their core business activities.
Implement and manage software updates and patching across Windows OSX and Linux systems to ensure all devices remain secure and uptodate.
Managed Cybersecurity
Deploy and manage advanced cybersecurity solutions to proactively protect client systems and data from threats like data theft and ransomware.
Administer and maintain cuttingedge email security measures including phishing protection spam filtering malware detection and data encryption.
Technical Support and Server Management
Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support diagnosing and resolving IT issues promptly to minimize
disruptions to client operations.
Conduct proactive monitoring maintenance and troubleshooting of servers ensuring seamless functionality and preemptive problem resolution.
Administer and maintain Microsoft 365 environments including email migrations security enhancements and productivity optimizations.
Cloud Services and Virtual Office
Implement and manage cloud services that are scalable adaptable and costefficient tailored to the operational needs of each client.
Design and implement secure and efficient remote work solutions ensuring virtual offices are as secure as physical ones. Data Backup and Disaster Recovery
Develop and implement data backup strategies to protect client data from hardware failures breaches and ransomware attacks.
Prepare and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity during crises enabling clients to recover quickly and predictably.
System Administration
Manage and maintain Windows OSX and Linux servers ensuring optimal performance security and crossplatform compatibility.
Oversee network services including DNS DHCP and NPS across different operating systems.
Administer virtualization environments (e.g. VMware HyperV) and storage solutions (e.g. NetApp Infinidat).
Documentation and Process Improvement
Maintain thorough documentation of IT processes configurations and procedures for internal use and client reference.
Continuously research and recommend improvements to IT processes ensuring the best practices are followed.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
Bachelor s degree in IT Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience (35 years in systems administration).
Extensive experience in administering Windows systems with solid experience in OSX and Linux.
Experience with cloud services (Azure AWS) and Office 365 administration.
Proficiency in network and server monitoring tools and familiarity with remote support and ticketing systems.
Technical Skills:
Expertise in Windows Server administration including Active Directory DNS DHCP and performance tuning.
Experience managing OSX and Linux servers ensuring crossplatform interoperability.
Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g. VMware HyperV) and storage solutions (NetApp Infinidat).
Knowledge of cybersecurity tools and best practices including email security and data encryption.
Soft Skills
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
Excellent communication skills capable of explaining complex technical issues to nontechnical users.
