Position:
The Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in delivering customized automation solutions working closely with the EngineeredtoOrder (ETO) and Modernization teams. This role requires handson involvement in commissioning troubleshooting and updating software ensuring customerspecific equipment meets or exceeds expectations. As an Automation Engineer you will work with PLCs crane control systems and a range of automation hardware with responsibilities that span the entire lifecycle of material handling systems. This position demands technical expertise strong problemsolving skills and occasional travel to customer sites for direct support.

You will operate in both office and field settings involving handson work with industrial automation systems including PLC programming and crane controls. The role requires close collaboration with engineers service technicians and customers ensuring equipment meets operational standards. You ll frequently engage in onsite commissioning troubleshooting and factory acceptance testing. The position involves occasional travel both domestically and internationally to customer sites for troubleshooting and system support within a culture focused on safety innovation and teamwork.
Job Requirements:
To excel as an Automation Engineer you must possess a strong technical background in software and hardware systems particularly in automation within the manufacturing industry. A Bachelors degree in Software Electrical or Automation Engineering is required. Previous experience working with Siemens PLCs HMI programming and control systems for material handling devices is essential. You must have indepth knowledge of variable frequency drives and demonstrate familiarity with NEC electrical code and OSHA safety requirements. The ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 25% is necessary for supporting onsite commissioning and troubleshooting. Strong problemsolving skills attention to detail and collaborative capabilities with engineers and service technicians are key to resolving control and software issues.
