Job Description
We are a dynamic organization looking for a talented Senior Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation and substantial experience in the supply chain industry. This role will leverage your expertise in data analytics methodologies to drive datainformed decisionmaking within our operations.
Position Summary:
The Senior Data Analyst will be critical in analyzing supply chain data using tools such as SQL and Python to extract transform and analyze data that enhances our logistics and operational strategies. We seek a detailoriented professional with strong analytical skills who can work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders to tackle complex supply chain challenges and improve data integrity across our platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform indepth data analysis specific to the supply chain sector identifying quality and integrity issues within datasets utilizing advanced SQL queries Python scripting and BI tools to produce actionable insights for stakeholders.
- Collaborate directly with clients to comprehend their supply chain processes identify operational bottlenecks and propose datadriven solutions that improve efficiency and support business goals.
- Design and implement effective data collection methodologies and processing protocols alongside database engineers to ensure data scalability and reliability throughout the supply chain.
- Build and automate data pipelines and workflows using ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes to enhance data quality support realtime analytics and optimize data management.
- Employ statistical techniques including regression analysis and machine learning algorithms to analyze large datasets uncover trends and deliver reports that provide crucial insights to improve supply chain performance.
- Develop and maintain thorough documentation that adheres to data governance standards while promoting best practices in data management relevant to the supply chain.
- Optimize and manage interactive dashboards using BI platforms (Power BI Tableau Looker) for realtime monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to supply chain metrics.
- Actively participate in agile project management processes utilizing tools like Jira or Azure DevOps to ensure timely delivery of analytical solutions that support our supply chain initiatives.
- Stay updated on trends in supply chain analytics data governance frameworks and emerging technologies to enhance the organizations analytical capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years of handson experience in data analytics within the supply chain industry with demonstrated expertise in advanced SQL and Python programming for data manipulation and statistical analysis.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in creating optimized SQL queries and using Python libraries (e.g. Pandas NumPy) for data processing; practical experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI Tableau or Looker.
- Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret and analyze complex supply chain datasets synthesizing insights into actionable recommendations that drive strategic decisionmaking.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear information for nontechnical stakeholders and fostering crossfunctional collaboration.
- Tools: Comprehensive experience with data visualization software (e.g. Tableau Power BI) and familiarity with statistical analysis tools or libraries (e.g. Excel SPSS SAS).
- Education: Bachelors degree in Data Science Statistics Computer Science Supply Chain Management or a related quantitative discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and quality assurance principles relevant to the supply chain.
- Experience with cloudbased analytics platforms (AWS GCP) in a supply chain context.
- Awareness of compliance standards and data privacy regulations (GDPR CCPA) as they relate to supply chain data.
Note: This position requires relocation to Lisbon Portugal (Visa will be provided).
