About this role
Kalvium is seeking dynamic and talented individuals to join our team which is transforming higher education. As a Product Intern you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product and student experience by collaborating with crossfunctional teams and driving the execution of key initiatives/features. This role offers the opportunity to grow tremendously within the organisation and make a meaningful impact on the education landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Design develop test and deploy new features for Kalvium s core platform to enhance the student experience.
- Collaborate with Product and Design teams to understand user requirements and create impactful features.
- Write clean maintainable and welldocumented code.
- Ensure best practices in code quality conduct regular code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Identify and resolve issues promptly to maintain platform reliability.
- Optimize performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure platform stability.
- Stay updated on new technologies and integrate them as appropriate.
- Seek feedback and improve through mentorship training and selfguided learning.
- Work closely with crossfunctional teams including Product Content and Operations to align on project goals.
- Communicate effectively within a remotefirst team ensuring transparency and sharing insights.
- Take endtoend ownership of tasks ensuring accountability for quality and impact.
- Contribute ideas to improve the platform and enhance the learning experience.
Skills & Requirements
You are an entrepreneurial and getthingsdone type of engineer who can take charge and build the application and experiences towards it.
- Experience in developing modern web applications using React.js/VueJs for the frontend and JAVA/Ruby/Golang/NodeJs/Python and frameworks likeSpringboot/Rails/Django/Express for the backend
- Good understanding of Database schema design optimization scalability
- Good knowledge of MySQL or any other SQL databases
- Good knowledge of MongoDB or any other NoSQL Database
- Good knowledge of Redis its data types and its use cases
- Good knowledge of Unit Testing and available Test Frameworks
- Good knowledge of Containers CI/CD pipeline and automating deployments and testing.
- Good documentation experience on functional and/or technical aspects of the project
- Bonus if you have: Experience with AWS Prior Opensource contributions and Experience building responsive designs.

- Would be someone who is looking to kickstart their career in the field of product management.
- Would have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Would have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Would believe that the current education system needs to do better in skilling students and be passionate about it.
- Already lives in Bengaluru or is willing to relocate to Bengaluru.
- Experience building responsive designs.
