Job Description
- Deliver bestinclass FW for our Vehicle subsystem platforms including integration of RTOS/CAN/I2C/UART/FOTA/Vehicle algorithm telemetry & Diagnostics services against target TTM Quality and cost
- Set & manage objectives and key results for FW development teams
- Identify training and development needs for the FW development teams
- Manage and optimize Budgets for the FW development teams
- Enable the team with relevant and adequate resources equipment and tools. Manage attrition and hire appropriate & adequate resources for FW development team
- Inculcate & drive a creative culture in the team deliver Innovation thru clearly differentiated FW solutions that stand out & enhance customer experience
- Define and set execution process & delivery milestones for FW development (SDLC) including but not limited to development test release update and support processes in alignment with organizational development processes
- Publish Technology roadmap for the FW development team communicate longterm and shortterm roll out strategy with relevant stake holders. Manage risks deployment & execution of the Technology development pipeline
- Contribute effectively towards organizational goals and influence work groups beyond routine nature of tasks
- Collaborate with cross functional teams and external agencies to enable the team s delivery efficiency & effectiveness understand Business case sensitivities and transform business requirements & technical specifications to implementation plan(s)
- Manage Technical & resource risks to ensure projects meet business case requirements
- Participate in project management activities to review team structure FW development activities manage stakeholders & external/internal interfaces
- Drive execution for projects through work package approvals engineering management plan and attaining all engineering deliverables in an AGILE project management environment
- Lead technical discussions and presentations for internal and external customers including design reviews and technical coordination meetings
- Review FW development & feasibility studies implement recommendations that strongly influence product costs TTM performance and capital investment
- Review and approve FW release versions documentation ECRs/ECOs/OTA release QA Test plans and QA Test reports for the Mobile/Web application & IoT Cloud development teams
- Verify release versions of FW test reports and change orders/requests for completeness and conformity to standards procedures and specifications
- Verify accuracy of FW development activities & releases/upgrades/patch/fix
- Support FW sustaining activities to improve/manage OTA upgrades/patches/fix
- Define quality goals and metrics for the FW development team(s) and ensure compliance to departmental & organizational processes procedures and practice
- Demonstrate High employee engagement scores and low attrition rates in the team
- Meet/exceed targeted audit scores for compliance to departmental procedures and practices
- Demonstrate progressive competency improvement in the team
- Demonstrate progressive reduction of technical and resource risks across project execution phases
- Stand out as a collaborative individual and a team player across peer groups in the organization
- Be the goto person for problem solving and creative content on FW
- Manage the development of FW for Vehicle subsystem platforms to write troubleshoot and debug reusable code & develop functional applications across RTOS versions
- Create development framework to leverage RTOS service suite models/services
- Develop framework to Integrate navigation communications & telemetry SDKs on Vehicle subsystem platforms
- Implement secure FOTA & device provisioning services on Vehicle subsystem platforms
- Ensure development code(s) comply with coding standards such as MISRA
- Demonstrate portability maintainability efficiency reliability and robustness of code
- Implement monitor & streamline critical departmental processes such as code reviews unit test plan(s)/report(s) reviews & compliance to coding standards & security features Review test cases to evaluate code quality performance & scalability to optimize performance of mobile/web applications
- Provide leadership to mentor coach & manage team mates across the FW development team
- B.Tech/MTech/PhD in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent
- 1218 years of experience in leading & managing high performance FW development teams
- Deep understanding and experience in managing FW development projects across all phases of FW development life cycle (SDLC)
- Proven experience in C/C/Python & development of apps libraries and device drivers across RTOS versions
- Expertise in C/C/Python
- Indepth Knowledge on Functional Safety and SPICE processes
- Expertise in MCU/MP architecture & RTOS based embedded system FW development
- Handson experience in communication protocols such as CAN UDS UART & SPI testing tools such as CANoe & encoding/decoding services for CAN over UART/SPI
- Demonstrated experience in development of secure UDS client on IoT device applications Excellent understanding of RTOS design principles and interface guidelines
- Demonstrated experience in version control of code base using Git & Maintaining Code
- Very good Problemsolving documentation & communication skills
