SQL Server Backend Programmer Production Support

• Production Support:
• Provide highlevel support for production databases ensuring stability performance and availability of SQL Server environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve critical database issues including performance bottlenecks data inconsistencies and application errors.
• Proactively monitor databases for performance issues and optimize queries stored procedures and indexes for efficiency.
• Participate in incident management providing timely responses and resolutions to databaserelated incidents.
• Data Modeling:
• Design and implement robust data models (both normalized and dimensional) based on business requirements.
• Develop and maintain EntityRelationship Diagrams (ERDs) database schemas and documentation.
• Work closely with business analysts data architects and other stakeholders to ensure data models align with business needs.
• ETL Programming:
• Lead the development and optimization of ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) or other ETL tools.
• Write efficient SQL queries to transform and load data across systems ensuring data quality accuracy and performance.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless data migration integration and synchronization between systems.
• Develop and automate data workflows to facilitate the efficient movement of data from source to destination.
• Version Control:
• Use version control systems (such as GitHub) to track manage and deploy changes to SQL scripts stored procedures and other databaserelated code.
• Collaborate with development teams to maintain versioned code repositories and ensure best practices for version control.

• Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience:
• At least 12 years of professional experience in SQL Server development and production support including data modeling ETL programming.
• Extensive experience providing production support for SQL Server databases including troubleshooting optimization and resolving performancerelated issues.
• Strong background in data modeling including designing and implementing normalized and dimensional data models.
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining ETL processes using SSIS or other ETL tools.
• Experience with version control systems especially GitHub for managing SQL codebase and deployment processes.

• SQL Server Expertise: Deep knowledge of SQL Server TSQL and SQL query optimization techniques.
• ETL Tools: Extensive experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and other ETLrelated tools.
• Version Control: Proficient in using GitHub for version control managing code changes and collaborating in a versioned environment.
• Database Design: Strong understanding of relational database design and EntityRelationship Diagram (ERD) development.
• Production Support: Ability to manage production environments diagnose issues and implement preventive measures.
• Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.

• Must be available to work remotely on Pacific Time (strict adherence to this time zone is required).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team. Ideal candidate is a selfmotivated person who can take the ownership of production support
• Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks in a fastpaced environment.
