Job Summary:
The Bill of Quantities Specialist is responsible for preparing and managing detailed
bills of quantities for construction projects. This role involves collaborating with project
managers architects and quantity surveyors to ensure accurate cost estimation and
resource allocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive bills of quantities based on project specifications and
drawings. - Conduct site visits to gather necessary data for accurate quantity measurement.
Collaborate with architects and engineers to understand project requirements
and scope. - Estimate material quantities and labor costs for various project phases.
Review and analyze project plans to identify potential discrepancies or
omissions. - Maintain uptodate knowledge of construction methods materials and industry
standards. - Assist in the preparation of tender documents and submissions.
Monitor project progress and update quantities as required throughout the
construction process. - Provide support in contract administration and financial reporting.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in preparing bills of quantities and cost estimation in the
- construction industry.
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team
- environment.

Required Skills and Knowledge: - 3-4 years of experience in interior and architecture. - Strong project management skills, with a track record of delivering projects on time. - Keen awareness of current trends in the art and design scene. - Ability to work effectively with other designers and stakeholders to achieve the best possible outcomes. - Experience in managing a diverse portfolio of projects. - Proficiency in specialized design software for creating detailed plans and visualizations. - Expertise in creating compelling interior design concepts and supervising project execution. - Skill in producing technical drawings that meet industry standards and specifications. - Proficiency in 3D modelling and rendering using tools such as SketchUp, Lumion, VRay, 3ds Max, or Blender.
