Job Description
EV.Careers is currently seeking a fulltime Lead Application Engineer for one of our partners a marketleading manufacturer of electric vehicle charging solutions. In this position you will report directly to company leadership and lead a team of application engineers who serve as technical liaisons between sales teams and customers supporting the implementation of cuttingedge EV charging infrastructure while ensuring optimal system integration and compatibility.
- Lead interoperability testing and validation of EV charging systems including OCPP 1.6/2.0.1 protocols and vehicle compatibility standards (DIN70121 and ISO15118)
- Provide technical expertise during presales and postsales activities including product specifications installation planning and system commissioning
- Conduct systematic troubleshooting using data mining log analysis and performance testing to resolve complex technical issues
- Support RFI/RFP processes by reviewing technical specifications and contributing to product positioning strategies
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including product management engineering and operations to ensure successful project delivery
- Travel to customer sites trade shows and various locations to provide technical support and represent the company
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in application engineering preferably in electrical or power electronics industries
Demonstrated knowledge of communication protocols including TCP/IP CAN bus and Modbus
Experience with structured product testing and documentation
Background in customer requirement assessment and translation into technical specifications
Strong project management and presentation skills
Excellent communication abilities and proven track record of successful customer relationship management
Previous experience in the EV charging or solar industry
Knowledge of digital hardware and power electronics control systems
