Job Description
This role involves maintaining and repairing commercial vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards ensuring safety reliability and excellent service delivery for both internal and external customers.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehicles and trailers to DVSA and company standards.
- Diagnose and rectify faults using technical expertise.
- Attend to disabled vehicles at customer sites when necessary.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company processes.
- Accurately complete job cards service sheets and return parts in a timely manner.
- Maintain high standards of workshop housekeeping and organization.
- Stay updated with DVSA and product developments and participate in training programs.
- Provide flexible support to team members and participate in site security requirements.
- Technical qualification in commercial vehicles (City & Guilds Level 3 NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
- Full UK Driving License.
- Minimum 2 years of HGV experience.
- Strong verbal and numerical reasoning skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility in managing workload and supporting colleagues.
- Commitment to delivering highquality service and maintenance.
- Understanding of commercial vehicles in a rental environment.
- Experience using R2C.
- HGV or Forklift Truck License (preferable but not essential).
