This is a remote position.
We are seeking a Backend Engineer (Django and DynamoDB) to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Building testing and releasing productfacing features with accuracy and scalability requirements; these features could be related to market data accounting authentication or security.
- Integration with accounting banking and CRM software
- Designing APIs and abstractions to be used in the frontend.
- Working with the product and design teams to understand enduser requirements formulate use cases and then translate that into an effective technical implementation.
- Collaborating with our data team to support our user base.
- Contributing to open source projects.
Requirements
- 5 years of experience preferbly in the Fintech Industry.
- Strong experience building backend micro services and/or data platforms in python.
- Knowledge of the opensource ecosystem frameworks and the libraries available for common tasks in particular DynamoDB Redis Postgres SQLAlchemy mypy and Flask.
- Familiarity with continuous integration.
- You take pride in clean well tested and documented code.
- Intricate knowledge of Python and Java.
- Experience with deploying work in at least one cloud provider.(Preferably AWS or GCP)
- Is a selfstarter with a strong sense of ownership & responsibility.
- Prior experience with data engineering and experience in Prefect Kubernetes SQL and GraphQL would be preferred.
- Strong experience with FastAPI or similar Python frameworks (Flask Django). Solid understanding of RESTful API design principles and standards. Familiarity with asynchronous programming in Python (asyncio AIOHTTP). Experience with Docker and containerized applications. Knowledge of OAuth2 JWT and other authentication mechanisms.
