Are you a technical talent with a passion for the maritime sector Do you have experience in maintaining and repairing ship engines and other marine installations Then we are looking for you! As a marine mechanic in Zeebrugge you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of various ship components. You play a crucial role in ensuring the operational reliability and safety of our vessels.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Performing preventive maintenance on ship engines hydraulic and pneumatic systems and other mechanical installations.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical malfunctions and defects.
- Carrying out repairs and part replacements both onsite and in the workshop.
- Collaborating with the technical department to implement improvements and modifications to the installations.
- Recording completed tasks and reporting findings.
- Ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations during all activities.
- Participating in emergency services in case of urgent issues.
Gereksinimler
- Completed education as a marine mechanic mechanical engineer or equivalent.
- Experience in maintaining and repairing ship engines and mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of hydraulics pneumatics electrical engineering and ship systems.
- Ability to work independently but also function well within a team.
- Problemsolving skills and attention to detail.
- Flexibility and willingness to travel.
- A maritime background or experience in the shipping industry is a plus. Good command of Dutch or English.
