Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Oversight: Supervise and coordinate all mechanical maintenance activities on the drilling rigs ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues quickly to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor the mechanical team providing training and guidance to enhance skill development and performance.
- Equipment Management: Ensure all mechanical equipment is properly maintained and keep accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Safety Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with all safety regulations and best practices in mechanical operations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments including operations and engineering to support drilling activities and ensure seamless operations.
- Inventory Control: Manage inventory of mechanical parts and tools ensuring availability and proper stock levels for maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in the offshore drilling or oil and gas industry with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment used in offshore drilling.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
