Job Description
RecruitNet International Ltd specialises in Healthcare recruitment for Domestic and Overseas candidates for Hospitals Nursing Homes Home care and Community care.
We are hiring a Central Sterile Services Technician in a Private Hospital In DublinIreland.
Responsibilities
- Gather and move used medical equipment from patient locations.
- Autoclaves storage shelves trolleys and any other equipment in the department should be cleaned to the necessary standards.
- Utilise both manual and mechanical techniques to decontaminate used medical equipment.
- Examine and test devices noting any inconsistencies or issues.
- Assemble and pack equipment for departments wards and theatres.
- Medical devices should be sterilised and distributed in compliance with applicable protocols.
- Provide end customers with processed devices as soon as possible.
- Stock shelves with supplies and help with requisitioning and stock control.
- When necessary keep records in accordance with departmental guidelines.
- Maintain safe working procedures and abide with health and safety regulations.
- Put quality standards into practice to guarantee consistently highquality services.
- Perform any other tasks that may be necessary.
Requirements
- Certificate in Science NFQ Level 6 in Decontamination of Reusable Invasive Medical Devices after earning your National Certificate in Science (Sterile Services Technology)
- DIT CPD in the disinfection of medical devices.
- Any recognised certification training in decontamination
