Role Summary:
The Project Manager is responsible for managing the planning coordination execution and onsite installation of all projects after the confirmation of sale ensuring successful delivery on time within budget and to the highest quality standards. This role involves managing crossfunctional teams supervising installations and proactively resolving bottlenecks to maintain seamless workflows. The Project Manager is accountable for creating monitoring and presenting measurable KPI reports on project performance budget utilization and process improvement initiatives to the management team. Additionally they are responsible for budget supervision including tracking material and labor costs identifying costsaving opportunities and ensuring projects remain profitable without compromising quality. They are also tasked with identifying and addressing process inefficiencies ensuring all project deliverables meet the defined KPIs and overseeing the design and installation departments to achieve performance goals.
Comprehensive Planning:
Develop and maintain a detailed project management chart for each project outlining timelines from start to completion and flagging milestones for all departments (design production and installation).
Include detailed timelines for all project phases ensuring dependencies between departments are clearly outlined with contingency plans in place for potential delays.
Interdepartmental Coordination:
Liaise with design procurement and installation teams to ensure timely delivery of project components adherence to KPI deadlines and seamless integration between departments.
Proactively flag and address potential delays caused by production procurement delivery and design bottlenecks ensuring adjustments are made without impacting final delivery dates.
Separate internal delays and external ones. The project manager is only responsible for internal delays. ( these need to be highlighted i.e. design delivery site work external delays are client sales production material procurement etc.)
Onsite Supervision:
Oversee onsite installations ensuring technicians are equipped with the correct tools materials and installation guides to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress enforce compliance with safety protocols and ensure adherence to quality standards and project specifications.
Address onsite challenges promptly coordinating with designers delivery installation supervisors and technicians to resolve issues without impacting project timelines or quality.
Budget Supervision:
Monitor and manage project budgets tracking expenses related to materials labor and other resources to ensure projects remain within budget constraints.
Prepare weekly budget reports detailing expenditure versus allocations for materials and staff highlighting variances and opportunities for cost savings.
Collaborate with procurement and installation teams to ensure cost efficiency in material selection and workforce allocation while maintaining quality standards.
Conduct monthly budget utilization reviews as part of KPI reporting presenting data on budget performance to the management team during the 3rdweek review meetings.
Identify and mitigate potential cost overruns by analyzing budget trends addressing inefficiencies and implementing corrective measures.
Ensure timely approval and reconciliation of invoices and payment schedules to avoid delays in material procurement or team payment.
Develop strategies to improve overall budget efficiency including the analysis of past projects to identify recurring cost drivers and implementing changes to mitigate them in future projects.
