Job Description

OCU Hornbill part of the wider OCU Group of Companies have a new opportunity for an experienced Preconstruction Project Manager.

Role Overview

The PreConstruction Manager will be responsible for assisting the preconstruction team with projects new to the pipeline creating tender programme and preconstruction paperwork. Assisting with tendering and client communications

Responsibilities

  1. Project Planning and Coordination:
    Conduct site inspections and preplanning activities.
    Develop project schedules and timelines.
    Coordinate with architects engineers and contractors to ensure project requirements are met.
    2. Budgeting and Cost Management:
    Prepare and manage project budgets.
    Conduct cost estimations and financial analysis.
    Oversee procurement of materials and services.
    3. Risk Management:
    Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    Ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
    4. Client and Stakeholder Communication:
    Maintain effective communication with clients contractors and other stakeholders.
    Provide regular updates on project progress and address any concerns.
    5. Documentation and Reporting:
    Prepare detailed project reports and documentation.
    Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained.
    6. Team Leadership:
    Lead and mentor project teams.
    Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

      Skills & Experience

      Strong project management skills.
      Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
      Proficiency in project management software.
      Knowledge of construction processes and safety regulations.
      Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
      MS Project
      Tendering / tender assistance

      This role is vital for ensuring that construction projects are wellplanned and executed efficiently setting the stage for successful project completion
