Job Description
- Is responsible for all assigned purchased parts (regarding prices/budget quality and timeline) with focus on Mechaical parts from concept phase initial calculation until start of serial production and handover to local strategic buyers/Commodity buyer
- Evaluates costs prices invest for all purchased parts at customers RfQ in close alignment with the Cost Engineering
- Initiates an Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process for critical purchased parts aligned with Supplier Dvelopment Engineer
- Initiates RfQs and drives cost down activities/negotiations within the agreed supplier base in close alignment with the Cost Engineering
- Evaluates the manufacturing feasibility by involvement of the supplier knowhow
- Ensures reserve of sufficient capacities at suppliers for noncatalogue parts
- Aligns with the commodity managers on the sourcing strategy and agrees on the best concept and way for the final commercial negotiations
- Nominates suppliers for the project lifetime
- Monitors supplier adherence to agreed inductrialization timing plan
- Ensures the Initial Sample Inspection Report (ISIR) releases for all purchased parts in cooperation with the Supplier Dvelopment Engineer
- Ensures the setup of logistics aspects (e.g. packaging Incoterms)
- Driving preserial engineering changes for purchase parts
Qualifications :
- Higher technical education (preferred direction Mechanical Industrial). Higher economic education with sound experience in technical purchasing can be an alternative
- 3 years related experience. Automotive Sector preferred.
- Advanced commecialtechnical negotiations skills
- Proficiency in should cost / cost break down analysis;
- Advanced project management skills;
- Basic knowledge of the principles of technical drawing and ability to read technical documentation;
- Basic knowledge of technology (injection molding painting / chroming of plastic parts metal stamping other automotive relative);
- Competence in working in interdisciplinary and international teams. Teamwork.
- Resultsoriented personal leadership and ownership for assigned tasks;
- Analytical and creative mindset to generate opportunities for continuous improvement of project financial results in the area of purchasd parts
- Flexibility. Willingness to work in a dynamic and multitask environment.
- English C1
- Polish native or C1
- Ukrainian will be an advantage
