Overview
The Pediatrician MD DCH Consultant plays a critical role in providing specialized medical care to infants children and adolescents in Ludhiana Punjab. This role is vital to ensuring the health and wellbeing of the pediatric population in the region and requires a high level of clinical expertise and compassionate care.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat illnesses medical conditions and injuries affecting infants children and adolescents
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and medical histories
- Provide immunizations and preventive care measures for pediatric patients
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Monitor the growth and development of pediatric patients
- Manage and coordinate care for patients with chronic conditions
- Advise parents and caregivers on childrearing practices diet and disease prevention
- Interpret and explain test results to patients and their families
- Participate in medical rounds conferences and continuing medical education activities
- Document patient care and progress notes in medical records
- Adhere to medical and ethical principles in the practice of pediatric medicine
- Serve as an advocate for the healthcare needs of pediatric patients
- Stay updated with advancements in pediatric medicine and best practices
- Train and supervise medical staff and residents in pediatric care
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Pediatrics or equivalent qualification
- Diploma in Child Health (DCH) or equivalent
- Valid medical license to practice as a Pediatrician in Punjab India
- Demonstrated experience in pediatric healthcare settings
- Strong diagnostic and analytical skills in pediatric medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with pediatric patients and their families
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced clinical environment
- Empathy patience and a caring attitude towards pediatric patients
- Commitment to upholding the highest standards of medical ethics and patient care
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Willingness to participate in oncall duties and flexible working hours
