Overview:

As a Video Editor (parttime) you will play a crucial role in the postproduction process working closely with senior editors to assemble raw footage into compelling visual stories. Your attention to detail creativity and technical skills will contribute to the overall quality of the final video products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the editing of video content according to project requirements
  • Organise and label footage for efficient postproduction workflow
  • Collaborate with senior editors to ensure the overall quality and consistency of the final product
  • Implement feedback from the creative team to refine video edits
  • Stay updated on industry trends and new editing techniques
  • Contribute to storytelling through the editing process
  • Perform colour correction and basic audio adjustments
  • Assist in the creation of motion graphics and visual effects
  • Manage and maintain video assets and archives

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in film studies media production or related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro
  • Strong understanding of video composition and storytelling techniques
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Basic understanding of colour correction and audio editing
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Basic knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects
  • Portfolio showcasing previous video editing work
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
