Sales Manager from Agri commodities background
Overview:
The Sales Manager from Agri/Spices/Soya plays a crucial role in driving the sales strategy and revenue growth of the organization. They are responsible for leading and managing the sales team developing and implementing sales plans and strategies and building strong client relationships to achieve sales targets and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets
- Lead manage and motivate the sales team to drive performance and achieve sales goals
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new opportunities and market trends
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients partners and stakeholders
- Monitor and analyze sales performance and provide strategic guidance to optimize results
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to align sales strategies with business objectives
- Identify and recommend product or service enhancements to meet customer needs
- Conduct regular sales forecasting and budgeting to drive business growth
- Develop and maintain sales policies procedures and best practices
- Participate in contract negotiations and ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Provide regular reporting on sales activities performance and market trends to senior management
- Stay updated on industry developments and competitors activities to maintain a competitive edge
- Resolve escalated customer issues and complaints effectively and efficiently
- Participate in recruiting training and mentoring sales staff
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement and excellence within the sales team
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Marketing or related field; Master s degree preferred
- Proven experience in sales management with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
- Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills
- Indepth understanding of sales principles methods practices and performance metrics
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities
- Ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies and business plans
- Experience in market analysis forecasting and budgeting
- Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales management tools
- Thorough knowledge of industry trends and competitor activities
- Proven ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement in sales processes
- Flexibility to travel and work in a dynamic and fastpaced environment
- Certification in Sales or related field is a plus
- Strong commitment to ethical conduct and integrity in all sales activities
