Job Description
Overview:
The Beauty Therapist plays a crucial role in providing professional beauty and wellness services to clients ensuring they receive highquality treatments in a relaxing and rejuvenating environment. They are responsible for delivering a wide range of services from skincare treatments to makeup applications and must possess strong interpersonal skills to understand and cater to clients needs effectively. Additionally they contribute to the overall success of the spa or salon by upholding the highest standards of customer satisfaction and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting client consultations to determine their beauty and wellness needs
- Performing a variety of skincare treatments such as facials exfoliation and skin rejuvenation
- Administering massage therapies to promote relaxation and alleviate muscle tension
- Applying makeup for special occasions and providing beauty advice
- Advising clients on skincare routines and recommending products for home use
- Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene in treatment rooms and work areas
- Keeping uptodate with industry trends techniques and product knowledge
- Maintaining client records and tracking treatment progress
- Upselling additional services and retail products to clients
- Collaborating with other team members to create a harmonious and efficient work environment
- Resolving client issues and concerns in a professional and timely manner
- Adhering to all health and safety regulations and best practices
- Participating in training and professional development opportunities
- Assisting in administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and inventory management
- Representing the spa or salon with professionalism and enthusiasm
Required Qualifications:
- Completion of a recognized Beauty Therapy or Esthetics program
- Valid state license or certification as a Beauty Therapist
- Demonstrated experience in performing a variety of skincare treatments and massage therapies
- Proficiency in makeup application for different skin types and occasions
- Excellent knowledge of skincare products and their benefits
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities for client consultations and relationshipbuilding
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with colleagues
- Exceptional attention to detail and dedication to delivering exceptional service
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fastpaced setting
- Understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards for beauty and wellness facilities
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as required
- Continuous learning and willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices
- Physical stamina and dexterity to perform treatments for extended periods
- Professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards in the beauty industry
