Job Description
Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Location: Mumbai
Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Occupational Therapist to join our healthcare team in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in occupational therapy and a dedication to improving patients abilities to perform daily activities fostering greater independence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to patient care within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate patients physical cognitive and emotional conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans designed to enhance patients abilities in daily life activities focusing on their specific needs and goals.
- Work with patients to improve motor skills cognitive functioning and overall independence applying appropriate therapeutic techniques.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques coping strategies and assistive devices to promote independent living.
- Monitor and track patient progress adjusting therapy plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes and continued improvement.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals including doctors nurses and physical therapists as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
Qualifications:
- Master of Occupational Therapy (MOTH) or Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (BOTH) from a recognized institution.
- For MOTH: 02 years of postqualification experience.
- For BOTH: 12 years of postqualification experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with patients families and the healthcare team.
- Strong ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- A genuine commitment to improving patient care and enhancing patient independence.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work with patients of varying age groups medical conditions and therapeutic needs.
- Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to design tailored therapy plans.
- Professional and compassionate approach to patient care demonstrating empathy and patience.
