Job Description
Overview:
The Linux SQL Support Specialist with experience in Cloud Kubernetes and OpenShift plays a critical role in providing technical support for Linux SQL databases and related technologies. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations troubleshooting issues and optimizing system performance within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for Linux systems and SQL databases
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues
- Develop and maintain scripts for automation and system monitoring
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to resolve complex technical problems
- Implement and maintain security measures for Linux and database systems
- Optimize system performance and resource utilization
- Document processes configurations and troubleshooting steps
- Participate in oncall rotation for critical issue resolution
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field
- Proven experience in Linux system administration and SQL database management
- Experience with Cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and OpenShift for container orchestration
- Strong understanding of networking security and system monitoring tools
- Excellent problemsolving and analytical skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced dynamic environment
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Relevant certifications such as RHCE AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Kubernetes Administrator
- Experience in shell scripting and automation tools
- Knowledge of database optimization and performance tuning
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
